Our Story

Aranya is originally from Northeast Thailand, where she learned to cook from her family using fresh ingredients and bold flavors. She moved to Salt Lake City 25 years ago with her husband, Todd, who was born and raised in Utah. Since then, she’s worked in several Thai restaurants as both a waitress and a cook, building her skills and deepening her love for sharing Thai food.

In July 2023, Aranya opened Aranya Thai Kitchen to serve the dishes she grew up with and introduce more people to the food she loves. She runs the kitchen with care and dedication, creating a warm, welcoming space where guests are treated like family. With every dish she serves, Aranya continues to share the flavors of her home and her passion for Thai cooking with the Salt Lake City community.
